BAPTISM
Since the first day of the Church(Acts 2), baptism has represented death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. This is the next step for everyone who has decided to make Jesus the King and the Savior of their lives. It symbolizes the believer's old self dying, being buried in water, and raised as a new creation

Why Should I be Baptized?
Because we want to obedient to Jesus, who said in Mattew 28:18-20 “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore , go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”'
Secondly, Peter, who was one of Jesus' disciples took this commision seriously with both Jews and Gentiles(people who weren't Jews first). To the Jewish believers, 'Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.' -Acts 2:18 ..... And to the Gentile Cornelus '“Can anyone object to their being baptized, now that they have received the Holy Spirit just as we did?” So he gave orders for them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Afterward Cornelius asked him to stay with them for several days.' -Acts 10:47-48 Lastly, In Acts 16 we find Paul baptizing people who had commited themselves to Jesus. Acts 16:15 Lydia and her household are baptized and Acts 16:33 'the jailor' and his household are baptized. What does Baptism Mean?
Baptism means being identified with Jesus, in his death, burial and resurrection.
Here are two Biblical passages to think and pray through. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 Paul writes, "I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day..." Romans 6:3-4 "Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives." When Will I know I am Ready to be baptized?
As soon as Jesus is leading your life, you are ready. Don't wait! Act on your obedience to Jesus immediatly, "Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all." -Acts 2:41
